Gate Charity Delivers Essential Supplies to Flood Victims in Southern Brazil

On May 31st, Gate Charity, the global philanthropic non-profit organization of Gate Group, supported response efforts related to the flooding in the southern region of Brazil. Several organizations, including Forum Animal, which Gate Charity previously collaborated with on another charity project, joined this effort.

In recent weeks, the world watched as Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil's southernmost state bordering Argentina and Uruguay, experienced heavy rains and unprecedented flooding. This disaster displaced over 538,000 people and left 81,000 homeless in 446 of the state's 497 cities. As rescue efforts were underway, Gate Charity stepped in to provide much-needed assistance by donating mattresses, water, and pet food.

The situation in Rio Grande do Sul is dire, with several cities submerged. Many residents have lost everything, and countless others are struggling to survive. Some are stranded on rooftops, awaiting rescue. Amidst this crisis, Gate Charity was grateful for the opportunity to help those in need by providing essential, life-saving supplies.
