1.To further enhance capital efficiency in the portfolio margin account, Gate.io has lowered the initial margin requirement from 50% to 33% for margin trading to effectively increase the potential leverage you can use. As higher leverage also carries higher risk, please always pay close attention to your portfolio to avoid potential liquidation risks.
Take the margin trading with 3X leverage as an example
Assume that you transferred 100 USDT to your portfolio margin account and borrowed 200 USDT (assume that you have no futures positions, and no interest should be paid for your borrowings)；you will see the following changes:
