Gate Layer Debuts: A High-Performance, Fully EVM-Compatible Layer 2 Network

Gate Layer is built on the industry-standard OP Stack, offering a high-performance Layer 2 network fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). GateChain serves as the mainnet settlement layer to ensure security, while the GT staking mechanism further enhances network stability. On the performance front, Gate Layer can handle over 5,700 transactions per second, with a block time reduced to just 1 second and transaction fees far lower than most existing Layer 2 networks. Each one million transactions cost only about 30 USD. On the cross-chain side, Gate Layer leverages LayerZero to enable multi-chain interoperability, supporting asset transfers across major public chains such as Ethereum, BSC, and Polygon. GT Tokenomics and GateChain Upgrade: Dual Growth Drivers

As part of the upgrade, GT’s utility and value proposition are expanding. GT will serve as the exclusive gas token for Gate Layer, with on-chain demand expected to grow in tandem with ecosystem adoption. Meanwhile, GT continues its dual deflationary model of scheduled buyback-and-burn plus on-chain burn. To date, over 180 million GT have been burned, representing 60.18% of its initial supply, further reinforcing its scarcity and long-term value.

GateChain, the settlement layer of Gate Layer, has also been upgraded to v1.20, now supporting Blob transactions (EIP-4844), upgrading its EVM version to Cancun, and integrating 12 additional EIPs.
