Gate.io haș added biometric authentication using FaceID and Fingerprint on recent versions of Gate.io Apps (V5.11.20 and above for both Android and iOS) to provide users with more security options. Users can now use FaceID or Fingerprint authentication instead of fund password when trading to enjoy a smooth trading experience with enhanced security.
How to turn the biometric authentication on:
1.Go to the Security Center, and locate the Fund Password.
2. Access to the Fund Password page to enable Use Face ID(Fingerprint) for Fund Password
3. Please note, if you have disabled the fund password before, please change the Input Frequency from Never to Always (recommended) to enable it . Otherwise the biometric authentication will not be asked when trading.
If you are trading a significant amount or have a significant amount of holdings in your account, we strongly encourage you to always use the fund password (set the Input Frequency as Always). Besides the conventional fund password, you can now use the Face ID, Fingerprint to get the hassle-free protection.
