Gate Charity Collaborates with Sowers Action to Bring Joy to Grassroots Families in Hong Kong

Gate Charity, a global non-profit philanthropic organization, partnered with Sowers Action for a special charity event in Hong Kong on May 24. The event conducted home visits to 20 households in the Sham Shui Po area of Hong Kong, aiming to provide support to grassroots families and needy children.

Gate Charity and Sowers Action joined hands to organize this meaningful initiative, focusing on supporting and serving grassroots families and needy children's livelihood needs. Sowers Action, a non-religious, non-political, and non-profit charitable organization, has been tirelessly working since its registration in Hong Kong in 1992. Their efforts include building schools, providing student funding, teacher training, operating children's homes, and community building projects to help disadvantaged communities worldwide. As of June 2021, Sowers Action has allocated more than HK$724 million in funding across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Northern Thailand, and Nepal.

On the event day, a group of 10 dedicated Sowers Action volunteers and four representatives from Gate Charity actively participated in the initiative. The evening began with an introduction session at 7:00 pm, followed by the commencement of home visits in groups at 7:30 pm, and they delivered gift packages to the families they visited.

After visiting the households and spreading joy among the families, all participants reconvened at the Sham Shui Po Center at 9:15 pm. They shared their experiences, emotions, and insights from the visits and the event successfully concluded at 10:30 pm.

Gate Charity and Sowers Action are deeply grateful to all the volunteers, representatives, and supporters who contributed to the success of this event. Their collective efforts have made a positive influence on the lives of those in need. The two organizations also hope to reiterate the importance of community engagement and compassion through this event.
