For trading platforms, “new listings” are no longer just about expanding asset coverage—they are a comprehensive test of project selection, liquidity organization, trade absorption, and the efficiency of price discovery. Based on Gate’s 447 newly listed spot assets in 2025, this report examines performance across multiple time windows from 5 minutes to 30 days, using key metrics including the share of tokens trading above the opening price, gains among winners, and median returns, to map market feedback and structural patterns across different listing types.

* Supply structure: Gate listed 447 new spot assets in 2025, including 318 primary listings (with 28 exclusives) and 129 non-primary listings. Primary listings accounted for ~71% of the total, making them the main source of new supply throughout the year.
* Median returns in early windows: During the most critical price-discovery phase, primary listings were more likely to translate market attention into visible returns. In the 24-hour window, the full-sample median return for primary listings was 12.56% (trimmed median 8.03%), versus 1.18% for non-primary listings (trimmed median 0.86%).
* Exclusive listings: Nearly 80% (22/28) of exclusive listings were up within the first 30 minutes, with a median gain of about 81%; meanwhile, more than one-third of exclusives posted ≥100% gains within 30 minutes. Overall, exclusive listings showed higher positive-return coverage and were more likely to generate clear price feedback over short horizons.
