Update on the Dynamic Adjustment Mechanism for Perpetual Futures Funding Rate Interval

To continuously enhance trading experience and risk management, Gate has launched a dynamic adjustment mechanism for the funding rate interval in perpetual futures. Starting from 10:00 (UTC) on August 29, 2025, if the funding rate of a perpetual futures market reaches the upper or lower limit at settlement, Gate will automatically adjust the funding rate interval for that market to 1 hour.
Scope of Application: All perpetual futures markets on Gate.

**Example**
Using the BTCUSDT perpetual contract as an example: the funding rate upper/lower limit is +0.3% / -0.3%, and the default settlement interval is once every 8 hours.
Scenario 1: At 08:00 (UTC) on September 1, 2025, if the funding rate for BTCUSDT reaches +0.3% or -0.3%, the funding rate interval for this contract will be adjusted to 1 hour, and the next settlement will take place at 09:00 (UTC) on the same day. This automatic adjustment will not be announced in advance.
Scenario 2: At 08:00 (UTC) on September 1, 2025, if the funding rate for BTCUSDT is 0.25%, within the upper and lower limits, the funding rate interval will not be automatically adjusted.
Scenario 3: At 07:00 (UTC) on September 1, 2025, the funding rate for BTCUSDT is 0.3%, and by 08:00 (UTC), it drops to 0.2%, within the upper and lower limits. The funding rate interval will not be automatically adjusted.
Scenario 4: At 08:00 (UTC) on September 1, 2025, the funding rate for BTCUSDT is 0.25%, within the upper and lower limits. However, suppose the platform decides to adjust the funding rate interval to every 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours. In that case, an announcement will be issued in advance, and the adjustment will be executed according to the announced schedule.

**Important Notes**
* Once the funding rate interval is automatically adjusted to every 1 hour due to the funding rate reaching the upper or lower limit, it will not automatically revert to every 8 hours or every 4 hours. Any further changes to the interval will be announced separately by Gate.
