Gate Research Institute Weekly Report: BTC remains in a broad consolidation phase, with short-term resistance at $109,000 and support near $103,000; ETH moves in tandem with the market, overall showing broad oscillation; ZK, L2, and AI Agents sectors lead the declines; the total net asset value of Ethereum spot ETFs has surpassed $10 billion, with over 20,000 Bitcoin addresses holding more than $10 million each, and Ethereum’s staking amount has exceeded 35 million coins.

- Market Commentary: BTC touched a low of $103,000 this week before stabilizing and rebounding, but remains under pressure within its trading range. Both the $106,000 and $109,000 levels presented resistance to further upward movement, and BTC is currently consolidating within a wide range. In the short term, key resistance is at $109,000, with support at $103,000. On the capital side, spot Bitcoin ETFs continue to see positive daily net inflows, demonstrating resilient institutional buying, but overall market sentiment remains cautious. We expect BTC to continue wide-range, high-level consolidation in the near term.
- This Week’s Focus: The Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 4.25%-4.50% for the fourth consecutive meeting, in line with market expectations. Additionally, the Fed’s dot plot shows no change in rate cut expectations for this year, with two rate cuts expected in 2025. Layer 2 network Ink announced it will launch a native token, INK, for its ecosystem, with a permanently capped total supply of 1 billion tokens and no further minting through governance. On June 16, Trump’s social platform Truth Social filed an S-1 form with the SEC, proposing the launch of a “Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF (B.T.)”.
- Key Data Highlights: As of June 19, 2025, the net asset value of Ethereum spot ETFs had reached $10.103 billion, accounting for 3.27% of Ethereum’s total market cap. These ETFs have seen six consecutive weeks of strong net inflows. According to Alphractal, there are now over 20,000 Bitcoin addresses holding more than $10 million each, with a total of approximately $200 billion, representing close to 9.43% of all BTC supply and over 21% of BTC’s “realized market value”. CryptoQuant data shows ETH staking volume has surpassed 35 million coins, hitting a new all-time high. Meanwhile, the number of “accumulation addresses” (addresses that have never recorded a sale) has also reached an all-time high, currently holding 22.8 million ETH.
- Market Opportunities: This week, Spark Protocol, a new launchpad project on Gate, went live. Spawned from the MakerDAO ecosystem, Spark Protocol is a deeply integrated decentralized lending market with direct lending capabilities.
