Notice: Copy Trading Will Introduce Real Leverage to Control Trading Risk

**Dear Gate.io Copy Trading Users,**

To further enhance the trading experience and ensure the safety of your funds, we introduce a real leverage management tool and adjust the leverage limits for users with substantial funds, which aims to effectively manage trading risks, safeguard the security of high-volume users, and improve the stability and longevity of quality lead traders.

## The specific adjustments are as follows:

**Increase the tool to control the Real Leverage Cap**: Based on the existing maximum leverage limits, we will adjust the real leverage cap according to the funds in the leader trader’s account and their risk tolerance. This will help ensure that the trading risks of leader traders remain within controllable limits, avoiding potential liquidation risks due to excessive position sizes or proximity to liquidation prices, thereby protecting the interests and funds of copiers.

**Definition of Real Leverage**: Real leverage is calculated based on the ratio of the total value of all positions and pending orders held by the user and his/her current account asset. The set leverage is the multiplier chosen by the user at the time of placing an order, which affects the size of their trading funds and potential profit and loss.

## The following are the new leverage regulations for users with different Asset Under Management (AUM) scales:

**1.For users with an AUM greater than 500,000 USDT:**

For BTC/ETH trading pairs, the maximum leverage per trade will be limited to less than 10x, and the expected real leverage will also be maintained below 10x.

For other Futures, the maximum leverage per trade will be limited to less than 5x, and the expected real leverage will be below 3x.

## 2.For users with an AUM greater than 200,000 USDT but less than 500,000 USDT:

For BTC/ETH trading pairs, the maximum leverage per trade will be set below 25x, with the expected real leverage below 15x.

For other Futures, the maximum leverage per trade will be less than 10x, with the expected real leverage also below 8x.

Please note that the above regulations will take effect once the real leverage management tool is launched. We recommend that you promptly adjust your trading strategies and risk management plans to adapt to the new leverage regulations.
