Gate.io supports users to upgrade VIP tiers in accordance with total asset value, monthly trading volume, or the amount of GT token holdings. **To better the VIP upgrade plan, Gate.io will adjust the asset value criteria in VIP upgrade.** The details are as follows:
1.A coefficient will be introduced to determine the total asset value. The coefficient for the major tokens like BTC, ETH, USD, and other good-liquidity tokens will be 1, while the number will be less than 1 for poor-liquidity tokens. And the coefficient will be adjusted in accordance with the market conditions.

2.The asset value of a single token/coin will have an upper-limit in determining the VIP tier. The tokens like BTC, ETH, USDT, and other major tokens with good liquidity will not be affected. But a single token with poor liquidity will be restricted between a value of $1,000 - $100,000 in determining the VIP tier. This will be adjusted in accordance with the market conditions.
